Traveling from the city of Santa Cruz to La Paz by bus is to cover a distance of 851 kilometers, in a trip that lasts between 17 and 18 hours. Buses leave from the Santa Cruz Bimodal Terminal, located on Montes Avenue, at the end of the 3rd Ring Road. Before boarding the bus it is necessary to pay a fee of 2.5 Bolivianos, called Uso de terminal.
The bus trip from La Paz to Cusco takes about 12 hours, covering 640 kilometers. There are two travel alternatives for this section: go by the Desaguadero route, which is the most direct route, or go through the tourist area of Copacabana- Kasani. On the tourist route there is a scenic contrast between the Cordillera Real mountain range and Lake Titicaca. In all cases, the buses arrive in Cusco at the bus terminal located on Avenida de Evitamiento.
